Lots of news from The Scriptorium this Autumn. My first foray into digital publishing came in the form of a new collection of seven individual stories called, Seven Doors of Time and available through Smashwords.com. It has approximately 431 pages and over 158,000 words for $4.99. The ISBN is: 978-1-4524-9424-1. You can either read them on any e-reader or on your computer (by downloading the free Adobe Digital format). AND three new novels, Always Have - Always Will, Good Old Uncle Norman and The Town Gray Built have also been published through Smashwords.com and cost $2.99 and $.99 for the latter. My other books (the four in the Sanderson Series) are available at PublishAmerica.com and information on book title, content, etc., can also be found at our family web site which is also listed on this page. The new ebooks are also available through all digital retailers.
About me - well I am a 63 year-old fun lady, curious about the world around me, married to Brit Mick, and I began my literary career at age 55, when Post Polio Syndrome slowed me down. And boy did I ever get an education on how NOT to write a book. Talk about a novice! But I have learned (more from mistakes than I wanted to) and honed my craft, so I am satisfied with where I am headed.
The Sanderson books may be mysteries, but they are also family-oriented (16 or over) and fun to read. You can also find my BLOG at karinfickecook@blogspot.com and it is updated every few weeks with more news and reflections. I try to keep it light and fun, so everyone has a good giggle. But I can get serious at times, too.
This Autumn, I have a new historical murder mystery (my monster of a novel) in the works and a new ghost writing project next year. I have my time booked up for 3 years, plus.
